Kyle Price wins "Best Actor in a Gay Film" award at the UK Adult Film Awards 2007
Congratulations to Kyle Price who won the award for Best Actor in a Gay film at the UK Adult film awards in London last night. Kyle was up against stiff competition from several other companies and several other models from Corolo films. Our congrtulations to all of them for being nominated. Kyle gives a sensitive performance in the film, as a young guy suffering from dreams of bullying, and being pressured by his boyfriend to indulge in unsafe sex. Christian Marshall picked up the award on Kyle's behalf and will be sending it to him shortly along with our congratulations and those of Trade.TV/Playboy who won a staggering 3 awards for their series on the night, plus one award for Best TV Channel (Playboy TV)

The Bareback Porn Debate (17/11/2007)
With a recent report of three HIV transmissions in the British Bareback porn industry Corolo is working with Fetishlads.com and others to campaign for a reversal of the current trend of studios going bareback. We are also trying to get a definitive statement on the science around HIV testing in the industry. Having said this, Corolo does not and will not shoot bareback porn, until a cure is found for HIV, because we believe just showing it promotes unsafe sex within the Gay commuity. Further links below.

I also include a link to a recent copy of QXMen where the issue is discussed. (To view you will need to go to click on the link above and download issue 016). I have to say I can't agree with QX's conclusion that it is only the producers who are at fault here and that shops selling Bareback porn are acting responsibly by just putting warning labels on the boxes. Currently there are no definitive guidelines for producers (Other than good old common sense), and they are responding to demand from Gay customers and the distribution arm of the industry. I am also surprised by the quotes from THT and GMFA...but read and judge for yourselves.

GAYVN Cover the Bareback Porn Debate (17/11/2007)
A collegue has just pointed out to me that GAYVN, the main industry site in the US has covered the British infection story and are carrying out an online poll. When you vote, you get to see the results. They give you four answer options. interestingly of the four the largest percentage of respondants think bareback is immoral under all circumstances, (approx 33%) but if you add up the other options approx 67% think bareback is OK in certain circumstances. Corolo Shortlisted at the UK Adult Film Awards (17/11/2007)
The 2007 UK Adult Film Awards will be held in London on November 29th.
Although the shortlisted nominations have not yet been anounced, Corolo is hoping to have nominations in various categories, including Best Gay Film. Best Actor in a Gay Film and Best TV series for both ASBO Twinks and Straight Chav's Gay For Pay. Stunning newcomer Tommy Haine is up for best male Newcomer (A category that straddles both the Gay and straight sides of the industry) for his sizzling scene with Ben Taylor in Straight Chavs. Wish him luck on the night. Corolo congratulates X Offender Entertainment and Christopher X on the completion of his first project (Working title: Sleaze). Once again Christian was lucky enough to see the finished film and can report that it's simply stunning...with an opening that reminds him of the titles for "Seven". Christopher obviously has a great camera eye and a cool, pacey editing style. This is a tough fisting movie, featuring lots of hard S&M Play, but nevertheless a sizzling UK complient cut exists and hopefully will be released soon.
